SUMMARY:Backstage Magic: Juggling\, Ritual\, and Rhythm in Akhnaten
DESCRIPTION: \nBackstage Magic: \nJuggling\, Ritual\, and Rhythm in Akhnaten\n“Led by renowned choreographer Sean Gandini\, this special event explores how juggling in Akhnaten becomes something far more than entertainment. Gandini will discuss juggling’s ancient roots and how its visual language connects to the opera’s themes—serving as echoes of divinity\, shifting thought\, desert sand\, and ritual transformation. \n“The evening will also include a live demonstration\, revealing how juggling patterns are built and how they interact with Philip Glass’s hypnotic score. Audiences will gain a deeper understanding of how movement\, rhythm\, and ‘ephemeral geometries’ create a striking dialogue between the stage and the music—bringing Akhnaten’s world to life in ways both subtle and astonishing.”—LAOpera \n \n Purchase Tickets Here
