LA Opera Staff Conducting Training Session for Community Educators
You found your passion, now share it!
LA Opera's team of volunteer Community Educators are Opera League Members
Everyone wants to learn more about opera--that unique blending of spectacular theatricality and gorgeous music. By becoming an LA Opera Community Educator, you can share your love and appreciation for opera with students, seniors and other people interested in learning more.
Selected applicants will learn how to speak about opera to various groups. Go behind the scenes and learn about the inner workings of one of the country's great opera companies, train in public speaking techniques, and devise your own presentations that reflect your interests in this extraordinary art form.
LA Opera Community Educators are those members of The Opera League who take on the very special mission of talking about their love of opera to audiences large and small in their communities. They give interactive presentations, talks and discussions in libraries, senior centers, schools, community gatherings, and private homes, as they share their enthusiasm and knowledge and invite others to participate in the adventure that is opera. They are the true ambassadors of the art form in general and of LA Opera in particular.

Application Deadline for Summer 2016 Training is May 26th
