Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned enthusiast, the Opera League of Los Angeles brings you up close and personal to the world of opera. We provide you with a community of people who are enthusiastic and passionate about the arts and the world of opera.

The Opera League is the primary all-volunteer support organization for LA Opera and offers many ways our members can assist with LA Opera's events as well as numerous opportunities to go "behind the scenes" of this great opera company. Volunteer to work in the Opera Shop, assist at cast dinners, seminars or the many LA Opera education programs.

The Opera League also provides a diverse array of educational and social events for our members to enjoy. 

Attend seminars, master classes, annual season preview, recitals, neighborhood gatherings, dress and technical rehearsals and our annual Hemmings gala.

Funds we raise support LA Opera and its education and community programs.

• Become a Community Educator, interacting with students, and with the public at events around the community
• Work at the Shop at the Opera, raising funds supporting the LAO educational program
• Help at Rehearsal Dinners for cast, orchestra, and crew
• Be a Light Walker, taking the place of artists while stage lighting is perfected
