DESCRIPTION OF OUR DAY TRIP:
Enjoy the camaraderie, fresh ocean air, delectable food and wine as we arrive in Santa Barbara by business class train in time for a pre-arranged luncheon followed by a Santa Barbara Opera matinee performance of Cavalleria Rusticana at the historic Lobero Theater.
We are invited to a post theater party with Opera Santa Barbara, along with some wine and appetizers, where we can mingle with the cast and Opera Administration followed by some time for you to just meander on your own, stop for an ice cream, relax at a wine bar or enjoy a fine dinner before returning home.
We begin our journey embarking at Amtrak Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Please contact Anne P. (below) if you prefer to embark at an Amtrak Station closer to your home or if you choose to drive yourself to meet us at the luncheon in Santa Barbara by 12:20.
Theater advisory: Price subject to change due limited number of available opera tickets.
All persons attending will be required to sign a waiver and release statement.
PRICING:
Price range for the day trip is $350-$399 to be prepaid by clicking the link in the box below. If you are an Opera League member, be sure to log onto the operaleague.org website before proceeding with payment or your payment will not go through.
The total price includes two-tier pricing for discounted opera performance tickets, transportation to and from Santa Barbara, lunch, After-party, and a small donation to Opera League of Los Angeles ($35 League member donation; $50 non-member donation), which a non-member may apply toward partial payment of new League membership at the Regular level and above, if you join the League upon signing up for this trip.)
Your order is non-refundable but may be applied to a donation to the Opera League if you cancel.
