Welcome to the inaugural edition of BRAVO Live!
I am thrilled to present to you the first installment of a new series of virtual interviews featuring some of today's brightest stars of the musical firmament. We're taking the interview format of BRAVO, the Opera League's official publication, and adapting it for the virtual space as a way to expand the Opera League's programming portfolio.
Producing this, of course, took a village. First and foremost, let's give a standing bravissima to Mexican-American mezzo-soprano Jessica Gonzalez-Rodriguez for being our first BRAVO Live! featured artist. Huge thanks also to Larry Verdugo, the Opera League's head of Education, for conducting the interview, to Opera League board members Lisa Rowley, Marion Joy and Patsy Burke for helping to conceive of BRAVO Live! and leading the charge. And let's not forget Opera League President Laurel Howat who has been a tireless cheerleader.
Without further ado, and as the Opera League celebrates 40 years, please enjoy our inaugural edition of BRAVO Live!.
