Humans might view their 40th birthday with, at best, ambivalence, if not a pinch of trepidation as they "achieve" another round-number milestone.
If, on the other hand, you happen to be an opera company, hitting the big 4-0 means another excuse to pop open a celebratory bottle full of sparkling, bubbly O's.
Yes, our resident opera company, LA Opera, marks their 40th anniversary season next year (2025-26). On Tuesday, February 11, at 7pm PT, LAO leadership is putting on a special season preview event, streamed live on LAO's YouTube channel, to show us the operas we can eagerly anticipate for the milestone season.
Join Fellow Opera Leaguers on February 11 to preview LA Opera's 40th anniversary season! Reception kicks off at 6pm, the preview event at 7pm!
Opera League members are known for never missing LAO's annual season preview, nor are we partial to experiencing the giddiness of the preview in solitude. That's why you should join your fellow League members and friends for a special season preview watch party at Bunker Hill Towers in downtown L.A.
