Morris Robinson is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most interesting and sought after basses performing today. A graduate of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, he made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera in their production of Fidelio. He has since appeared there as Sarastro in The Magic Flute, the King in Aida and in roles in Nabucco, Tannhäuser and new productions of Les Troyens and Salome. In addition to appearances at with other Opera companies, he has performed at LA Opera, where his roles have included Oroveso in Norma, Sarastro in The Magic Flute (2009) and Fasolt in Das Rheingold (2009, 2010).
